Lead singer and leader of Jaybee and the Routine funk and R&B band since April of 2001, James Brown has been performing since the tender age of 5. Born and raised in the heart of Boston, MA, Jaybee honed his skills in church under the guidance of his grandmother Fran Brown. He later went on to work and tour with the likes of Maurice Starr, New Edition, RUN-DMC, and New Kids on the Block to name a few. In the early 90’s Jaybee teamed up with producer David Gonzalez to work on the live selected concerts at Prince’s night club Glam Slam in Minneapolis. He is an active studio vocalist and currently working again in the studio with Gonzalez on a new R&B project to go along with his live band The Routine. His performances in the Minneapolis area also range from CBO, Big City and many private functions. When Jay Bee isn't belting out a tune, he likes to chill at home and play video games and watch Tyler Perry movies.
